Health Canada recalls Hyper-Tension Medication

Apotrex Incorporated is conducting a voluntary recall of one lot of Apo-Ramipril 5 mg capsules used to treat hyper-tension. It is the Lot JR2178. The affected products bear the drug identification number (DIN 02251574). For more information, please visit Health Canada. 

Health Canada suspends Avastin

Health Canada has suspended authorization for the use of the drug Avastin. It is a drug used for the treatment of a certain type of breast cancer and has been shown to be unsafe and ineffective. For more information, http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/ahc-asc/media/advisories-avis/_2011/2011_159-eng.php.
